पचेद्घृतं तत्तु निषेव्यमाणं हन्यात् क्षतोत्थं क्षयजं च कासम् ||४७||
शतावरीनागबलाविपक्वं घृतं विधेयं च हिताय कासिनाम् ||४८||
Decoction of the under talked about is ready –
– meat of crab,
– insect of cowri shell,
– sparrow,
– deer and
– lava fowl (frequent quail) and
– herbs belonging to madhura / kakolyadi gana group
Ghee is processed with this decoction and medicated ghee is ready. When consumed, this ghrta cures cough brought on by damage to lungs and consumption.
Decoction of Satavari and Nagabala is ready. Ghee processed with this decoction needs to be given to the sufferers of cough.
इति सुश्रुतसंहितायामुत्तरतन्त्रान्तर्गते कायचिकित्सातन्त्रे कासप्रतिषेधो नाम (चतुर्दशोऽध्यायः, आदितः) द्विपञ्चाशत्तमोऽध्यायः ||५२||
