The juice is extracted with the assistance of hid heating process utilizing burning charcoal of the woods of medicinal timber. The ready paste is roofed in medicinal leaves such that the bolus (of paste) is encapsulated inside the layers of leaves. Threads are tied across the bundle in order to maintain the leaves in place, wrapping the bolus of medicinal paste. Now, this bolus is wrapped with a thick layer of earth (moist mud) and dried in shade.

A pit is dug and a layer of gas consisting of wooden from medicinal timber is put in. The bolus is stored on this layer of gas. The remaining a part of the pit can also be full of the gas such that it covers the bolus from the highest. Now, the bolus consisting of medicinal paste is encapsulated inside the gas i.e. the bolus is roofed on all sides by the gas. Subsequent, the gas is lit with hearth and the bolus is allowed to get cooked within the warmth.

As soon as your complete gas is burnt and the smoke diminishes and the warmth of the coal wanes off, the bolus is eliminated and its layers eliminated. The paste which is cooked within the warmth of burning coal is squeezed and its juice is extracted. This juice is known as Putapaka Swarasa.
